This is where we'll announce the most recent happenings whether actions of the Board, information received from the AKC, or any other activities believed to be of interest to the membership.  For information prior to dates listed, go to the Archive links on the left.

April 2010 - 2010 Slate of Candidates

As per Article V, Section 4 of the NSDTRC (USA) Bylaws, the following is the slate of candidates submitted by Anthony Abate, Nominating Committee Chair, for the 2010 election of Officers & Directors:

President – Christi Kirby (Mississippi) - [First 2 year term]
Vice President – Sue Dorscheid (Wisconsin) - [First 2 year term]
Secretary – Kimberly Adams (Ohio) - [First 2 year term]
Treasurer - Jody Petry (Wisconsin) - [Third 2 year term]
Officer terms to begin on November 1, 2010 and run through October 31, 2012.

Director - Region 3 – Terri Krause (Montana) - [First 3 year term]
Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming
Director - Region 6 – Ann DiSilvestre (South Carolina) - [First 3 year term]
Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee
Regional Director terms to begin on November 1, 2010 and run through October 31, 2013.

Additional nominations of eligible members may be made by written petition addressed to the Secretary (Celia Hamilton, 9596 Wallace RD. Midway, TX 75852 ) and received at her regular address no later than July 26, 2010, signed by three (3) members and accompanied by the written acceptance of each such additional nominee signifying his/her willingness to be a candidate.

If one or more valid additional nominations are received by the Secretary on or before July 26, 2010, she shall, no later than August 10, 2010 mail to each voting member in good standing a ballot listing nominees for the position(s).

If no valid additional nominations are received by the Secretary on or before July 26, 2010, the nominations will be closed. The members will be notified in the Fall issue of Quackers that the Secretary has cast one (1) ballot for the Nominating Committee's Slate and no further balloting will be required.

January 2010 - 2010 Nominating Committee Named

The Nominating Committee this year consists of:

Anthony Abate, CHAIR-Region 7

Linda Gallacher-Region 3 
Susan Norras-Region 5 
Deb Gibbs-Region 6

Phyllis McDonald-Region 4

The positions that are up for nomination are: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Region 3 Director, and Region 6 Director.

These positions are currently held by the following people:

  • President: Katie Dugger (completing 1st 2-year term; 2-term limit)
  • Vice-President: Patricia Kinsley (completing 1st 2-year term; 2-term limit)
  • Secretary: Celia Hamilton (completing 1st 2-year term; no limit)
  • Treasurer: Jody Petry (completing 2nd 2-year term; no limit)
  • Region 3 Director: Donna McClellan (completing 1st term; eligible for another term)
  • Region 6 Director: Christi Kirby (completing 1st term; eligible for another term)

Each year the Nominating Committee selects one candidate for each open position. As provided in the club bylaws, nominations for President and Vice President may only be from members who have served on the Board of Directors.  A list of eligible members for these positions is available from the Chair.  The names of the people selected by the Nominating Committee are published in the spring issue of Quackers. A member in good standing can also be nominated from the floor by following the directions outlined in the bylaws. If there are nominations from the floor, then there is an election which is held by mail and members vote on the candidates. If there are no nominations from the floor, the Secretary casts one ballot for each person selected by the Nominating Committee, no voting is necessary, and the candidates selected by the Nominating Committee take office November 1, 2010. The procedures for nominations and elections are well defined by the club's bylaws which are available on the website.

Website Changes


This is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.

July 2010 - August is going to be very busy with Club Field Test being hosted by other organizations in Colorado, Kansas, and Wisconsin!  Information can be found on the Events page.

June 2010 - Information about the 2011 Rescue Calendar Photo Contest - Tollers on Vacation is available on the Rescue Merchandise page.  Entry deadline is August 15, 2010.

March 2010 - The 2010 National Specialty site is now available with lots of information.  Information will continue to be added as the Committee progresses.  The Shooping Cart is open and accepting Trophy donations.

December 2009 - The Club website has been completely redesigned with a new look and feel.  Navigation through the site is friendlier.  New features such as the Photo Gallery have been added.  We hope that you enjoy the new site.  If you have difficulty or find broken links, please let the Webmaaster know.

For those that have links on your personal websites based on the previous website, those links may now be broken because of the name changes on this new site.  Please update your sites if you wish to maintain links to specific pages on the Club website.

New Additions

  • Photo Gallery - This subsite houses a multitude of Toller photos in various albums.
  • Forms & More - A subsite has been developed to house all of the many electronic forms we have available.  Additionally, major articles such as the CEA FAQ and the article on Color Genetics in the Toller are provided as html documents.
