Tollers Available for Adoption
Below are the Tollers we have in our Rescue Program that are available for adoption. There may be occasions when there are Tollers in our program that aren't listed. Generally this is because they are still being evaluated for temperament and health in their foster homes. We encourage you to check back often and complete the Rescue Adoption Application at your earliest convenience.

March 2010 - Sammie - Adoption PendingSammie is a 5 year old female who was rescued from a shelter in central Florida. Her previous owners moved to an assisted living facility that would not allow dogs. Sammie is well adjusted, healthy and playful. She likes to play with other dogs. |

February 2010 - Ozzy - Adoption PendingOzzy is an American Staffordshire Terrier/Rottweiler/Bull Terrier mix. When we found Ozzy in a shelter he was sick, hairless and his days numbered. We mistook him as a Toller but DNA testing confirmed that he is not. He is now healthy and about 8 months old. Ozzy is neutered, working on crate training, and walks well on a leash. He will probably be about 45-50 lbs when full grown. Ozzy is good with children and learning his social skills with other dogs.The perfect home for Ozzy would be one that has time to continue his obedience training, take him on long walks or runs, and love him for a long time. We are looking for a home with no children or children older than 10 years and no other pets. Birds are OK, he seems to enjoy talking to the cockatiel. Ozzy is being fostered in Wisconsin. |

February 2010 - RoxyRoxy is a courtesy listing for Toller Rescue Inc. Please Contact Nancy Tucker, TRI Secretary if you are interested in her.Roxy was rescued from a shelter in the Atlanta GA area in mid January 2010, so we know nothing about her history. Roxy has never met a stranger, very affectionate but is submissive, gentle and not overly active. What a sweetheart! She does not get on the sofa unless asked and is very well behaved, is housetrained, walks on leash, and comes when called most of the time ;-) Roxy is good with other dogs but can play rough with puppies. Roxy thinks cats look like great things to stalk and chase. So while a house with other dogs would be fine, cats are not recommended. We are also considering smaller yards and town home situations for Roxy as she is a lot calmer then most Tollers and would do fine in that situation. Roxy is between 1-3 years old, spayed, Heartworm Negative and is up to date on all shots. She is being fostered in Alabama. All Roxy needs is a Forever Home to make her world complete! We believe that Roxy is a purebred Toller. |
